چکیده

Abstract We report the confirmation of a TESS-discovered transiting super-Earth planet orbiting mid-G star, HD 307842 (TOI-784). The has period 2.8 days, and radial velocity (RV) measurements constrain mass to be 9.67 − 0.82 + 0.83 M ⊕ . also discovery an additional candidate on outer orbit that is most likely nontransiting. possible periods are approximately 20–63 with corresponding RV semiamplitudes expected range from 3.2 5.4 m s −1 minimum masses 12.6 31.1 M ⊕ radius (planet b) ${1.93}_{-0.09}^{+0.11}\ {R}_{\oplus 1.93 0.09 0.11 R , which results in mean density ${7.4}_{-1.2}^{+1.4}\ {\rm{g}}\,{\mathrm{cm}}^{-3}$?> 7.4 1.2 1.4 g width="0.25em" cm 3 suggesting TOI-784 b rocky though it comparable sub-Neptune. found located at lower edge so-called “radius valley” versus insolation plane, consistent photoevaporation or core-powered mass-loss prediction. TESS data did not reveal any significant transit signal candidate, our analysis shows orbital inclinations ${88.60^\circ }_{-0.86}^{+0.84}$?> 88.60 ° 0.86 0.84 ≤88.°3–89.°2, respectively. More observations needed determine second object, search for planets this system.

Habitable - zone super - Earth candidate in a six - planet system around the K 2 . 5 V star HD 40307

Context. The K2.5 dwarf HD 40307 has been reported to host three super-Earths. The system lacks massive planets and is therefore a potential candidate for having additional low-mass planetary companions. Aims. We re-derive Doppler measurements from public HARPS spectra of HD 40307 to confirm the significance of the reported signals using independent data analysis methods. We also investigate th...

HD 147506b: A SUPER-MASSIVE PLANET IN AN ECCENTRIC ORBIT TRANSITING A BRIGHT STAR

We report the discovery of a massive (Mp = 9.04±0.50MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63341±0.00013 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.520± 0.010. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 0.982± 0.105RJup. HD 147506b (also coined HAT-P-2b) has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known...

A Theory for the Radius of the Transiting Giant Planet Hd 209458b

Using a full frequency-dependent atmosphere code that can incorporate irradiation by a central primary star, we calculate self-consistent boundary conditions for the evolution of the radius of the transiting planet HD 209458b. Using a well-tested extrasolar giant planet evolutionary code, we then calculate the behavior of this planet’s radius with age. The measured radius is in fact a transit r...

A Spitzer 1 Infrared Radius for the Transiting Extrasolar Planet HD 209458 b L .

We have measured the infrared transit of the extrasolar planet HD209458 b using the Spitzer Space Telescope. We observed two primary eclipse events (one partial and one complete transit) using the 24 μm array of the Multiband Imaging Photometer for Spitzer (MIPS). We analyzed a total of 2392 individual images (10-second integrations) of the planetary system, recorded before, during, and after t...
